Position Overview

The Physician Assistant (PA) provides high‑quality, patient‑centered primary care services under the supervision of the Lead Physician. This role delivers comprehensive clinical care, supports preventive health initiatives, and ensures an exceptional patient experience consistent with a premium, concierge‑style medical practice. The PA functions as an integral member of the care team, promoting accessibility, continuity, and proactive health management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis — Conduct detailed patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations to identify acute and chronic conditions.
  • Treatment & Care Management — Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans, prescribe medications, and manage follow‑up care.
  • Preventive Medicine — Deliver wellness counseling, lifestyle guidance, and age‑appropriate screenings aligned with the clinic’s preventive‑care philosophy.
  • Aesthetic and Weight Management-understand the options available at Essenza and develop treatment plans appropriate for or as requested by the patient.  Perform any and all procedures upon completion of certifications.
  • Chronic Disease Management — Monitor and manage long‑term conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Patient Communication — Provide timely, compassionate communication through in‑person visits, telemedicine, secure messaging, and phone consultations.
  • Care Coordination — Collaborate with specialists, diagnostic facilities, and ancillary providers to ensure seamless, high‑quality care.
  • Clinical Documentation — Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Procedures — Perform routine primary‑care procedures such as wound care, joint injections, EKG interpretation, and point‑of‑care testing.
  • Quality & Compliance — Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection‑control standards, and clinic protocols to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement — Uphold the clinic’s concierge‑level service model through personalized attention, proactive follow‑up, and exceptional bedside manner.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
  • Current NCCPA Certification
  • Active California PA License in good standing
  • Minimum 1–3 years of primary care experience (concierge or internal medicine experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in EHR systems, clinical workflows, and evidence‑based practice
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient‑relationship skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based, patient‑centric environment
